Grandparents Galore

Ella has more grandparents (10 to be exact)...here are a few that came by to see her!!!
Great Grandpa and Grandma Cheely
Great Grandpa Meyer and Grandma Jenny
Grandma Judy along with 2 of Ella's uncles Chad and Chris
Grandma Jenny (She flew all the way from Florida, and got there to see Ella when she was still hours old!!! We were so glad that she could be there!)

Recovery Room Party

The nurses were so nice at St. Vincent Carmel hospital to allow all of the, not so patiently waiting, family into the recovery room to meet our newest member...but there was one catch. They had to wear protective gear because I was still in the area near the operating room...everyone looked so hysterical, we had to share. Daddy had to wear to white paper-thin jump suit into the operating room...it was way too small, so much so that he had to bend over to keep the crotch from ripping!!
This was right before he came into the operating room.
Here I am getting more of the oh-so-lovely ice-chips!!! Yippe!!

Grandma Judy holding Ella for the first time.

The proud new daddy looking as Aunt Sally holds Ella for the first time.

From what I was told, after Judy and Sally came out of the receovery room, they said that two more could go back in...and before Jessie (the new Aunt) and Brandy could even stand up, the very egar new uncles were half way down the hall! No, they aren't at all proud!!

Aunt Jessie hold Ella.

Finally, Brandy hold Ella. Brandy got to the hospital right beore I was wheeled into the operating room. They were prepping me in the labor and delivery room, and in walks Brandy! I was so glad that she made it before I left!!!

Ella Nicole McGrath

Our beautiful baby girl was born a week ahead of her original due date, December 6th, 2006, on November 29th, 2006 at 11:16am. We arrived at the hospital at about 3:30am early Wednesday morning and I was already in active labor. I received an epidural and Ella decided that she wasn't going to tolerate labor. She was dropping her heart rate, so Dr. Teter decided that a C-Section was best. Ella weighed 7lbs 2oz and was 19 1/2 inches long with a head full of brown hair, big blue eyes, and long fingers and toes. We are so in awe of our little baby girl! Words cannot express the instant love that we feel for our new daughter!!!
